Carolyn Bond

Carolyn Byrum Bond 71, of Pecan Street, Windsor, died Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A native of Bertie County, she was a retired hairdresser and a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
Survivors include two sons, John A. Thomas III and Walter H. Bond III, both of Windsor; a sister, Linda B. Smithwick of Windsor; and a brother, Franklin Byrum of Windsor.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church with the Rev. Joseph Cooper officiating. Burial will take place in Edgewood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from the home of Linda Smithwick, 703 Winwood Drive.
