Carl Frank “Carroll” Smith, 73, of 404 Bradley St., Ft. Pierce, Fl. died September 3, 2009 at Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce, Fl.
Mr. Smith was born in Rich Square, NC, a veteran of the US Army and a member of The Brother Hood of Operating Engineers.
The son of the late Frank and Nettie Jenkins Smith, he was preceded in death by his twin sister, Carolyn Smith, and a brother, Marcus Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Peggy Smith of Ft. Pierce, Fl; daughters, Candy (Mike) Herman of Belleview, Fl., Kristina (Jason) Taylor of Haugen, WI, Danny Smith of Belleview, Fl.; sisters, Dezma Medlin of Lansdale, Pa., Regina Dickens, Williamston, NC and Charlotte Wheeler of Jackson, NC; brother, Gerald Smith of Rich Square, NC; 4 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 27 at Jackson Baptist Church in Jackson, with the Rev. Billy Howell officiating.
