Joe Henry Askew, 86, of Perrytown Road, Colerain, died Sunday, November 8, 2009 at Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.
A native of Bertie County, he was a retired farm worker and a member of Ashland Baptist Church, Merry Hill.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Ashland Missionary Baptist Church, Merry Hill, with Rev. W.J. Best Jr. officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
