Jean Thomas Dunlow Knowles, 84, of Blue Heron Point, Portsmouth, Va. died Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
A native of Bertie County, she was a retired nursing assistant with Bertie Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include a daughter, Pam Dunlow Piotrowski of Portsmouth, Va.; a son, Larry Dunlow of Afton, Va.; a brother, James R. Thomas of Windsor; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday November 14, 2009 at Walker Funeral Home, Windsor. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. on Friday, November 13, 2009 at Walker Funeral Home.
