Mabel Perry Copeland, 91, of Colonial Ave, Norfolk, died Saturday, October 31, 2009 in Bon Secours De Paul Medical Center.
A native of Powellsville, she earned a degree from East Carolina Teachers’ College. She worked for Larchmont Methodist Church Kindergarten for more than 20 years, first as a teacher and later as director.
Survivors include two sons, Robert S. Copeland and John R. Copeland; and two daughters, Martha B. Armstrong and Christine N. Armstrong, all of Norfolk, Va.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5 at Larchmont Methodist Church by the Rev. Scott Rimer and Pastor Sarah Wastella.
