James Allen, 81, of Murfreesboro died Saturday, October 31, 2009 at his residence.
He was a native of Nash County.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Powell Allen; two daughters, Joretta Harris of High Point and Veronica Allen of Waldorf, MD; a sister, Gladys Pittman of Rocky Mount; and two grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7 at New Haven Baptist Church with the Rev. Lloyd Gatling officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
Hertford County Undertakers, Winton, is handling the arrangements.
