William Henry Eure Jr., 50, of Academy Street, Gatesville, died Thursday, October 29, 2009 at his residence.
A native of Gates County, he worked as a loader operator in logging. He was a member of Gatesville United Methodist Church and a member of the Gatesville Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his parents, William H. Eure Sr. and Ellen Owens Eure of Gatesville; his wife, Patty Lister Eure of Gatesville; two sons, Ben Eure and Jerry Eure, both of Gatesville; a step-daughter, Kristen Derrickson of Gatesville; and his sister, Alta Eure Blowe of Cofield.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, Nov. 1 at Gatesville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tracy Clayton and the Rev. Gene Asbill officiating. A private burial will be held at a later time. Friends may join the family at the residence.
