Stephen Hayes, 86, of Merry Hill died Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Three Rivers Health and Rehabilitation, Windsor.
He was a native of Bertie County.
Survivors include his wife, Pattie Hayes of Merry Hill.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at Ashland Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie J. Best officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
