S. Benjamin Adams, Jr., 94, of Farless Road, Merry Hill, died Friday, October 23, 2009 at Three Rivers in Windsor.
A native of Bertie County, he was a farmer and a member of Riverside Baptist Church where he was an Honorary Deacon.
Survivors include a daughter, Annett Adams of Lewisville; a son, Darrell H. Adams of Merry Hill; three sisters, Josephine Pierce of Boise, ID, Margaret Parker of Newport News, VA and Miriam Wise of Buffalo, NY; four brothers, Frank Adams of Windsor, Truett and Jack Adams, both of Colerain, and Philip Adams of Columbia, SC; and two grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at Riverside Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Reamy and the Rev. Woody Copeland officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the home.
