Hattie Mae Lassiter, 68, of Como died Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
She was a native of Northampton County.
Survivors include her husband, Harvey J. Lassiter of Como; five sons, Jerry Wood of Oklahoma, Gary Wood of Virginia, Johnny Lassiter Jr. of Washington, D.C., James Lassiter of Georgia, Jeffery Lassiter of Como; five daughters, Gracie Morning of Hampton, VA, Yvonne Manley of Winston-Salem, Shirley Aoussar of Glen Allen, VA, Jackie Watson of Newport News, VA and Cynthia Banks of Murfreesboro; three brothers, Jessie Majette of Murfreesboro, John T. Majette of St. John and Alton Majette of Washington, D.C.; two sisters, Janie Majette of Murfreesboro and Shirley Burke of Bowie, MD; 29 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at Nebo Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will take place in Carver’s Park Cemetery in Murfreesboro.
Hertford County Undertakers, Winton, is handling the arrangements.
