Marshall Leon Howell, 73, of White Oak Road, Eure, died Wednesday, October 21, 2009 in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
A native of Gates County he was a retired farmer, a lifetime member of the Gates County Rescue Squad, where he served as captain, and a member of Eure Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Debra H. Earley of Eure; a sister, Lettie Askew of Eure; and a granddaughter.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24 in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, with the Rev. Wayne Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in the Howell Family Cemetery at the home.
The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, 129 White Oak Road, Eure.
