James Wiggins

James Earl Wiggins, 85, of Punch Bowl Road, Hobbsville, died Monday, October 19, 2009 in the Skilled Nursing Facility of Chowan Hospital, Edenton.
A native of Gates County, he worked as a truck driver and in the latter part of his life worked part-time at the Hobbsville Recycling Center. He was a member of Warwick Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Trudy Quinn of Matthews; two sons, Randy Wiggins of Clinton and Timmy Wiggins of Matthews; four sisters, Frances Riddick of Portsmouth, VA, Margie Robertson of Corapeake, Elizabeth Rountree of Eure and Shirley Layden of Hobbsville; and six grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22 in Warwick Baptist Church with the Rev. Aaron Pendley. Burial will follow in the family plot at the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
