Estelle Downing Fennell, 85, of Washington, D.C. died Monday October 19, 2009 at Howard University in Washington, D.C.
She was a native of Hertford County.
Her survivors include a brother, William Downing of Washington, D.C.; and two sisters, Ophelia D. Jones of Harrellsville and Dicie D. Neal of Charlotte.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22 at the family cemetery, 2327 NC Hwy. 45 S., Harrellsville, with the Rev. Robert Lewis officiating.
Reynolds Funeral Home, Ahoskie, is handling the arrangements.
