Ernest Hardy, 91, of Aulander died Saturday, October 10, 2009 at his residence.
He was a member of Zion Grove Baptist Church in Aulander.
Survivors include his wife, Sallie Dixon Hardy of Aulander; two sisters, Viola Grant of Aulander and Geneva B. Brown of Washington D.C. and a grandchild.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17 at Zion Grove Baptist Church in Aulander with the Rev. James Mercer officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
Reynolds Funeral Home, Ahoskie, is handling the arrangements.
