The Hertford County 250th Anniversary Planning Committee has been busy throughout this year hosting various events around the county.

To culminate a year long events schedule, the Planning Committee is now hard at work finalizing the plans for the 250th Anniversary Gala Ball to be held in Winton at the Ralph Smith Elks Building on December 29 from6-10 p.m.

The 250th Gala Ball will include a catered dinner as well as entertainment by The Legends Band from Roanoke Rapids.

The attire is formal.

Tickets for the event will be $25 per person. Tickets may be purchased from the Ahoskie Chamber of Commerce on Catherine Creek Road in Ahoskie; Murfreesboro Chamber of Commerce on Main Street, Murfreesboro; and the Hertford County Manager’s Office at 701 N. King Street, Winton.

Seating is limited to 400.
