Lady Rams split in volleyball

Ridgecroft School split a pair of varsity outings in the past week.

The Lady Rams defeated Pungo Christian Academy in straight sets, but then dropped a four-set decision to Albemarle School.

Against Pungo October 1, the Lady Rams took the match 25-14, 25-8 and 25-10.

That evened their record in Tarheel Independent Conference play at 4-4.

On October 7, however, the Lady Rams dropped a tough match to Albemarle School.

The Lady Colts took the first game 25-20 and then took game two by a count of 25-18.

Ridgecroft bounced back to win game three 26-24, but Albemarle closed out the contest with a 26-24 win of their own in set number four.

The loss dropped Ridgecroft to 8-8 overall and 4-5 in the TIC.

JV Volleyball

In junior varsity action, the Lady Rams were swept by Pungo and Albemarle.

The Lady Raiders took a 25-22, 25-17 win over Ridgecroft while Albemarle won by counts of 25-19 and 25-17.

The jayvee Rams are now 6-5 overall and 4-5 in the league.
