Virginia Eure “Jennie” Parker, 76, of US 13 North, died Tuesday, September 29, 2009 in her home.
A native of Gates County, she was a homemaker and a member of Reynoldson Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Linda P. Rose of Gates, Nita Parker of Clayton and Annette Askew of Eure; a son, Herbert Murray “Bert” Parker Jr. of Mt. Pleasant; two sisters, Lois Neal of Portsmouth, VA and Phyllis Anderson of Newport News, VA; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 1 at Reynoldson Baptist Church by the Revs. Todd Higginson, Billy Presley and Wayne Gardner. Burial followed in the church cemetery with Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, handling arrangements.
Friends may join the family at the residence.
