Walter C. Holley Sr., 57, of Colerain died Sunday, September 27, 2009.
A native of Bertie County, he was a member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church and employed with Colerain Peanut Co. as a truck driver.
Survivors include two sons, Walter Holley Jr. of Harrellsville and Quinton Holley of Murfreesboro; two daughters, Marteisha Chamblee and Lomita M. Holley of Windsor; four brothers, Earl Holley of Ahoskie, Lavester Holley, Curtis Holley of Colerain and Clarence Perry of Greenville; nine sisters, Mary Holley, Mable Holley and Shirley Holley, all of Colerain, Carolyn Gatling, Darlene Outlaw of Windsor, VA, Sylvia Holley of Virginia, Rose Holley of Clinton, MD, Rebecca Holley of Mitchellville, MD and Denise Holley of Woodbridge, VA; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, Oct. 3 at Zion Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Nathaniel Thompson officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
