Lois Mizelle Jernigan 52, of Old US 17 North, Windsor, died Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Pitt Memorial Hospital, Greenville.
A native of Hertford County, she was a member of Greens Cross Baptist Church where she was an active member of Cross Connections and taught Sunday school. She was also a member of Gideon’s International Auxiliary and the Windsor Lion’s Club.
Survivors include her husband; Al Jernigan of Windsor, daughter; Wendy Ferebee of Windsor, son; Jason Jernigan of Windsor, sister; Joyce Young of Windsor, brother; Lin Mizelle of Powellsville; and four grandchildren.
The Rev. Woody Copeland will hold funeral services at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20 at Greens Cross Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from their home on Saturday.
