Katherine Kee Kirkland, 88, died Wednesday, September, 16, 2009 at Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin, VA.
A native of Northampton County, she was a member of Galatia Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Joseph H. Kirkland of Margarettsville; a sister, Ella Jean Overby of Branchville, VA; and one grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19 at Galatia Baptist Church with the Rev. David Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Conway Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Kirkland.
Memorial contributions may be made to Galatia Baptist Church for Missions or to the Conway-Severn Rescue Squad.
