Frank Taylor

Frank Treavis Taylor, 74, of 107 Capehart Church Road, Merry Hill, died Sunday, September 13, 2009 at Chowan Hospital.
Frank was born May 4, 1935 in Bertie County to the late Ronnie and Madie Perry Taylor. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Federal Taylor, Floyd “Cherry” Taylor, and Horace Taylor and sister, Mae T. White. He was a farmer, a deacon at Capehart Baptist Church and former member of Midway-Merry Hill Fire Department.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at Capehart Baptist Church with Rev. Jake Dunlow officiating. Burial will follow at Capehart Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 15th at Walker Funeral Home in Windsor. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Taylor’s memory may be made to Capehart Baptist Church Organ Fund, c/o Dennis Brooks, 1738 US Hwy 17, Merry Hill, NC 27957, or the American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, DC 20004.
He is survived by his son, Frank Treavis Taylor, Jr. of Asheville; his daughter, Donna T. Hill of Youngsville; one brother, Gary Taylor of Greenville; one sister, Lois Ann T. Rascoe of Windsor; two grandchildren, Taylor Hill and Haley Hill of Youngsville; and several beloved nieces and nephews, Kim Burgess, Deb Tillman, Carla Rascoe, Emily Rascoe, Mike Taylor, Bobby Taylor, Laurie Ann Jones, Greg White, Susan White, Emmie Lou Taylor, Cherry Ann Shuey, Patsy McCulley, and Sandy Douglas.
