Gertrude Briscoe, 70, of Murfreesboro died Friday, September 4, 2009 at Highland Care Center.
She was a native of Northampton County.
Survivors include three sons, Michael Stephenson of Queens, NY, Kevin Stephenson of Murfreesboro and Jerry B. Stephenson of Brooklyn, NY; four brothers, Randolph Stephenson, Jesse Thomas Stephenson and Joseph Stephenson Jr., all of Murfreesboro, and George Robert Stephenson of Roanoke Rapids; four sisters, Mollie Turner of Queens, NY, Lula Wiggins of Denver, Colo. Martha Gaither of Murfreesboro and Retter Williams of Chesapeake, Va.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A funeral was held at Mt. Sinai Church of God in Murfreesboro with Pastor Elder Arthur Clark officiating. Burial took place in Carvers Park Ceremony.
Hertford County Undertakers, Winton, handled the arrangements.
