Lashone Shanette Perry, 29, of Askewville Road in Windsor died Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A native of Bertie County, she was a member of Peterson Chapel Baptist Church in Merry Hill. She was honorably discharged from U.S. Navy after 8 years of service and was employed as a Systems Organizational Maintenance Technician with U.S. Navy.
Survivors include her mother, Georgia Perry of Windsor; her stepmother, Lucille Drake Harris of Williamston; two sons, Anthony Brown and Kaiyzon Brown, both of Conway, SC; a daughter, D’ivaiyon Chauntell Perry of Windsor; two brothers, Nathaniel Perry of Windsor and Gregory Drake of Madison; and six sisters, Sharon Norman of Roper, Cynthia Perry of Windsor, Valnese Perry of Windsor, Synethea Leary of Windsor, Marion Drake of Windsor and Tammie Drake of Merry Hill.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 7 at Peterson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Merry Hill with the Rev. Gregory Drake officiating. Burial will take place at Gilliam Family Cemetery in Merry Hill with full military rites.
