Olivia Eason Johnson, 83, of Gates died Monday, August 31, 2009 at her residence.
A native of Gates County, she was a member of Joppa Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Johnson of Ahoskie; three sons, Charlie Johnson and Preston Johnson, both of the home, and Joe Eure of Gates; a brother, Louis Eason of Belvidere; a sister, Hilda Pulley of Portsmouth, Va.; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 5 at Joppa Baptist Church with the Rev. Curtis Brinkley officiating. Burial will take place in the Johnson Family Cemetery.
A viewing will be held Hunter’s Funeral Home in Gates.
