Jesse Frank Love Jr., 64, of Drewett Store Road in Pleasant Hill died Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Guardian Care in Roanoke Rapids.
A native of Halifax County, he was a retired carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Boone Love; two sons, Charles Love of Clayton and Doug Love of Roanoke Rapids; a step-son, John Rook of Pleasant Hill; and one granddaughter.
A funeral service was held on Monday, Aug. 31 at Massey Funeral Home in Roanoke Rapids with the Rev. Barbara Lewis officiating. Burial followed at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.
The family will receive friends at the home of his son, Doug Love, at 168 Easton Street in Roanoke Rapids.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
