Leonard Burl Cobb, III, 53, of 103 Lester Lane Road, died Monday, August 10, 2009 in Chowan Hospital, Edenton.
Mr. Cobb was born in Pasquotank County and was the son of Leonard B., Jr. and Mary Winslow Cobb of Hertford. Retired from the Ford Assembly Plant in Norfolk after 34 years of employment, he was a member of Hertford United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, surviving are his daughter, Shelly Cobb Bembridge and husband Steven of Hertford; his son, William Bradley Cobb of Corapeake; his sister, Terry Cobb Umphlett and husband Richard of Hertford; and three grandchildren, Erin, Megan and Reagan Bembridge.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, by the Rev. Carroll Bunch. Friends may join the family in the funeral home immediately following services.
