Bonnie Eatmon

Bonnie Teague Eatmon, age 91, died at her home on Sunday morning, August 9, 2009.
Although a native of Alabama, she resided in North Carolina and the Menola community for most of her adult life. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Frank Eatmon. They both loved farming and family.
After retiring from farming, Mrs. Eatmon went back to school and took on a new profession as a nursing assistant. She did private duty before working full time at Pine Forest Rest Home in Potecasi for a number of years. She enjoyed her new career helping others.
Survivors includes her daughters, Betty Self of Winston-Salem, Dorothy Vick of Conway, Velma Eatmon of Tarboro, Frankie Brinkley and husband Quinton Brinkley of Virginia Beach, Hazel Davis of Greensboro, her nephew, Tommy Teague of Lucama, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at the Menola Baptist Church with the Rev. Cecil Harkey officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening, August 10, 2009 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Sykes Funeral Service in Rich Square.
