LEWISTON – Gloria D. Brown Jenkins, 71, of Piney Wood Road, Lewiston, died Thursday, July 30, 2009 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville.
A native of Nassau County, Florida, she was employed as a cafeteria worker at West Bertie Elementary School in Lewiston.
Survivors include her husband, George Jenkins Jr. of Lewiston; her mother, Albertha Green of Fernidina Beach, FL; a son, George Jenkins III of Fernidina Beach, FL; a daughter, Clarencia Brown Clark of Lewiston; a brother, Clarence Brown of Florida; sisters, Johnie Brown, Zelgloria Brown and Albetha Brown, all of Florida, and Josephine Brown of Kansas City, MO; and 14 grandchildren
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6 at Wilder’s Funeral Home Chapel in Rich Square. Burial will be in the Jenkins Family Cemetery, Lewiston.
