James Jacobs

James Patrick “JP” Jacobs, 52, of Rich Square died on Monday, July 27, 2009 at Halifax Regional Hospital in Roanoke Rapids.
A native of Northampton County, he was a member of Branches Baptist Church in Rich Square and worked as a self-employed brick layer.
Survivors include his mother, Callie Ward Jacobs of Rich Square; three sons, Travis Jacobs of Rich Square, Patrick Jacobs of Garysburg and Phillip Jacobs of Greenville; three daughters, Shanee Jacobs –Smith of Rich Square, Takyesha Jacobs of New Bern, Doris Whitaker of Woodland; three sisters, Cynthia Clark and Nancy Lambertson, both of Rich Square, and Naomi Howard of Greensboro; and 14 grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Northampton County High School-East in Conway with Rev. Tony Flood officiating. Burial will take place at the Jacobs-Parks Family Cemetery in Rich Square.
