Thelma Marie Bass Beard, 88, formerly of Ahoskie, died on Saturday, July 11, 2009 in Columbia, SC.
Survivors include a sister, Rachel Baines of Momeyer, NC; a daughter, Sharon Beard Williams of Columbia, SC; a son, Clayton L. Beard, Jr. of Hampstead, NC; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Oakdale Cemetery in Spring Hope, NC.
