Reginald Edward Asbell, 80, of Windsor died Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at his residence.
A Bertie County native, he was a member of Greens Cross Baptist Church, was retired from the US Postal Service after 26 years of service and was also a framer.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Mizelle Asbell of Windsor; two daughters, Wanda A. Jenkins of Edenton and Sherry A. Davenport of Merry Hill; a son, Wesley Edward Asbell of Greenville; a sister, Betty Mizelle of Windsor; a brother, Howard Asbell of Windsor; and three grandchildren.
A funeral service was held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, July 24, 2009 at Greens Cross Baptist Church. Burial followed in Edgewood Cemetery, Windsor.
The family received friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall at the church.
