Barbara Vann Nemier, 71, of Winton, died Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at her residence.
A native of Northampton County, she was a member of the Bride of Christ Tabernacle Church and retired as a caregiver for the sick.
Survivors include Charles Matthew Nemier; three daughters, Rose Marie Bennett of Milwaukee, Wanda Gail Myers of Corinth, TX, and Kathy Ruth Harrell of Wilmington; four sons, Vernon Nathan Pope of Eure, Eddie Lee Pope, and David Earl Pope, both of Winton, and Charles Nelson Nemier of Wilmington; five sisters, three brothers, 14 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2009, in the Ashley Memorial Chapel at Garrett-Jones Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Stoney Creek Cemetery. The family will received friends at the funeral home from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. on Friday, July 24, 2009 and other times at the home.
