Lizzie West Hoggard, 96, of Ahoskie died on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Roanoke Chowan Hospital.
She was a member of Piney Wood Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Ahoskie.
She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Janie Robbins of the home and Vera West of Ahoskie; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service was on Friday, July 17 at Piney Wood Chapel Baptist Church in Ahoskie. Rev. Roosevelt Askew officiated. Burial took place in the Askew Family Cemetery.
