Ernest Williams, 55, of Rich Square died Monday, July 13, 2009 at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A native of Halifax County, he was employed at Gregory Manufacturing Company.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Ramsey Williams of Rich Square; two sons, Floyd Pittman of Greenville and Lloyd Pittman of Morganton; two daughters, Colette Robinson and Flodine Jefferson, both of Greenville; a brother, Harold Williams of Newark, NJ; five sisters, Hazel Downing of Powellsville, Gloria Jean Reynolds of Greensboro, Louise Jones of Hempstead, NY, Clementine McGee of Roanoke Rapids and Sylvester Timmons of Newark, NJ; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21 at Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Rich Square with Pastor Arthur Clark presiding. Burial will take place at Branches Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Rich Square.
