Thurman Taylor, 67, of Powellsville died on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A native of Bertie County, he was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Ahoskie and was employed with CRMP as a truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Rosa Taylor of Powellsville; one son, Thurman Taylor Jr. of Spartanburg, SC; six daughters, Wanda Cofield of Ahoskie, Shirley Francis of VA, Linda Dandy of Durham, Beverly Baker of Rocky Mount, Teresa Bond of Merry Hill and Mary Newsome of Wilmington, DE; three brothers, Ralph Taylor, Linwood Taylor and David Taylor, all of Ahoskie; two sisters, Michelle Rankins of Raleigh and Isea Mae Cherry of Windsor; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15 at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Ahoskie with the Rev. Jerryl Moody officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Ahoskie.
