Mary Elizabeth Ruffin, 84, formerly of Roxobel, died Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Guardian Care of Roanoke Rapids.
A native of Northampton County, she was a member of Sandy Branch Missionary Baptist Church in Roxobel.
Survivors include one son, Robert Carey of Roanoke Rapids; three daughters, Peggy Walden of Roxobel, Sandra Smith Trenton, NJ and Alice Ruffin of Paterson, NJ; one sister, Pecola Harrison of Richmond, VA; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 18 at Sandy Branch Missionary Baptist Church in Roxobel with the Rev. Lycurgus Harrell officiating. The burial will be in the church cemetery.
