Sandra Outlaw

Sandra L. Outlaw, 62, of Raleigh died Saturday, June 20, 2009 at Wake Medical Center, Raleigh.
A native of Jacksonville, Florida, she moved to New York from where she was educated, received a Master’s Degree from Antioch College and certified as an Early Childhood Educator. She later worked as Director of Education at Soundview Daycare and as an adjunct professor at College of New Rochelle, both in The Bronx, NY.
After relocating to Raleigh, she worked as a remedial teacher at Clark Street Elementary School in Henderson.
Survivors include her mother, Dr. Alternese Richardson; a daughter, Jasmine Outlaw of Wake Forest; three sisters, Zyra Outlaw of Wake Forest and Sharimara Stallings and Sharolyn Stallings, both of New York; and two brothers, Anthony T. Stallings and Eduardo Stallings, both of New York.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 27 at Indian Woods Missionary Baptist Church, Windsor, with the Rev. Ralph D. White and the Rev. Angela Lewis officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Cherry’s Funeral Home, Windsor, handled the arrangements.
