Dorina Brown

Dorina Mae Willoughby Brown, 63, of the 100 block of Ray Farmer Road died Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Roanoke-Chowan Hospital.
Mrs. Brown was born in Hertford County, a daughter of Edna Parks Willoughby and the late Hugh Van Willoughby. She attended St. Johns Baptist Church and had been a cashier for Duck Thru Convenience Stores for 16 years.
Dorina is survived by her husband, William W. Brown Jr.; her mother, Edna P. Willoughby of Windsor; two daughters, Deborah Annette Wiggins of Rich Square and Lisa Hicks of Chapel Hill, TN; three sons, Earl Wayne Terry of Bear Grass, Paul Christopher Terry of Aulander and Hugh Van Terry of Alabama; sisters, Faye Surles, Nancy Hoggard and Linda Sue Hill, all of Windsor; a brother, Frankie Willoughby of Ahoskie; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Besides her father, Dorina was predeceased by a son, John Malcolm, and a sister, Ann Broglin.
A celebration of life service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1 in the Ashley Memorial Chapel of Garrett-Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. Dave Thompson and the Rev. Brian Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Job Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30 and other times at the home.
