James E. Rankins, 45, of Rocky Mount died Monday, June 22, 2009 at Nash General Hospital, Rocky Mount.
A native of Boston, MA, he served in the US Army and was employed as a laborer for South Wire.
Survivors include his parents, Daniel and Elenora Rankins of Rocky Mount; three brothers, Daniel W. Rankins of Boston, MA, and Earl R. Rankins and Joseph M.
Rankins, both of Rocky Mount; and two sisters, Margaret Rankins O’Neal of Boston, MA and Marilyn Rankins Cajuste of Rocky Mount.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 28 at First Baptist Colerain Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
