Roosevelt Eure, 73, of Portsmouth, Va. died Saturday, June 20, 2009 at Golden Living Facility, Portsmouth, Va.
A native of Gates County, he was a retired welder. Eure served in the US Army.
Survivors include two sons, Milton Harvey of North Carolina and Michael Eure of California; two daughters, Shelia Eure of California and Rochelle Smith of Maryland; three brothers, Henderson Eure, Lee Albert Eure of North Carolina and Billy Eure of New York; and three sisters, Arlean Mabry of New Jersey, Selma McEachin of North Carolina and Rose Martin of Georgia.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 28 at First Baptist Church Taylorsville, Portsmouth, Va. Burial will be in the Eure Family Cemetery, Gates.
