Ernest Linwood Lawrence, 79, of Murfreesboro died Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at Halifax Regional Medical Center, Roanoke Rapids.
He was an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Johnson Lawrence; a daughter, Loraine Davis; and sons, Ronald Lawrence and David Lawrence, all of Chesapeake, VA; three step sons, David Quinton Parker of Newport and Carroll Keith Parker and Arnold Stacy Parker, both of Murfreesboro; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren and two step grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 26 at Oak City Cemetery, Oak City, NC with the Rev. Wint Hale officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 25 at Massey Funeral Home, Jackson.
