Effie Britt Eley of Warsaw, VA, a native of Hertford County, died Saturday June 20, 2009 at Warsaw Health Care Center in Warsaw, Va.
Survivors include three sons, Sherman Britt of Cofield, Robert Cooper of Smithfield, VA and Jack Britt of Baltimore, MD; two daughters, Denise Wiggins of Tobyhanna, PA and Bernice Badger of Warsaw, VA; two sisters, Louise Copeland of Hampton, VA and Shirley Chavis of Pennsylvania; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 27 at New Bethany Baptist Church, Harrellsville, with the Rev. William Clark officiating. Burial will be in the Britt Family Cemetery.
Reynolds Funeral Home, Ahoskie, is handling the arrangements.
