William Henry Goodman, 68, of Sunbury died Friday, June 19, 2009 at University of Virginia Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Vera D. Goodman of Sunbury; two sons, Darryl Goodman of Corapeake and Dana Goodman Sr. of Powellsville; four daughters, Deborah Nowell of Sunbury, Rene Holley of Eure, Carla Griffin of Hobgood and Tonia Goodman of Elizabeth City; six sisters, Annie Smith of Plainfield, NJ, Mertha Gill and Carrie Goodman, both of Fayetteville, Peggy Walker of Gatesville, Joan Goodman of Sunbury and Shirley Smith of Virginia; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 25 at St. John AME Zion Baptist Church, Sunbury, with the Rev. Samuel Buck Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Drake Memorial Cemetery.
Hertford County Undertakers, Winton, are handling the arrangements.
