Johnnie Rascoe Jr., 90, of Lewiston died Tuesday, June 9, 2009.
He was a native of Bertie County, making his home in the Spring Hill community.
Survivors include his sons, Johnnie Rascoe III of Bronx, NY, Larry Rascoe of Brooklyn, NY, Morgan Rascoe of the home and Stanley Smallwood of Lewiston; daughters, Nettie Culler of Dover, DE, Rosa Pollard of Aulander, Millie Pugh, Ethylene Gilliam, Brenda Gilliam and Angelette Cherry, all of Lewiston, and Glenda Smallwood of Bronx, NY; two brothers, Curtis Rascoe of Windsor and Willie Davis of Detroit, MI; and two sisters, Catherine Barrow and Lee Stokes, both of Atlanta, GA.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, June 14 at Spring Hill Baptist Church, Lewiston, with Bishop Hurron Freeman officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Cherry Funeral Home, Windsor, was in charge of the arrangements.
