Taylor Marie Vaughan, 11, of Roanoke Rapids died Wednesday, June 10, 2009.
A native of Roanoke Rapids, she had just finished the fifth grade at Belmont Elementary School in Roanoke Rapids.
Survivors include her parents, Lisa and Curtis Norwood of Roanoke Rapids and William Vaughan, of Skippers, VA; brothers, Tyler Vaughan and Jared Norwood of the home; and grandparents, Bud and Georgia Erickson and Ruth and Henry Spence.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 14 at Massey Funeral Home, Roanoke Rapids, with Dennis Parnell officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. on Saturday, June 13 at the funeral home.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the RVYSA Sidekicks Soccer League, c/o Dusty Rose, 234 Franklin Street, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870.
