Lynette Futrell

Lynette Davis Futrell, 84, died Friday, June 5, 2009 at Rich Square Health Care Center in Rich Square after a lengthy illness.
She had been preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Mary Archer Davis, her husband, Walter Page Futrell; a brother, Waverly Davis, and a sister, Maggie Lee Davis.
A native of Northampton County, “Nana” was a caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was a seamstress who loved to sew for her family and friends. She was also a member of Ashley’s Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, William David “Billy” Futrell of Raleigh; one daughter, Rose Futrell Hoggard and husband, Eugene, of Conway; three grandchildren, William David Futrell, Jr. of Clemmons, Brian Hoggard and Abby Hoggard of Conway; two great grandchildren, Josh Futrell and Summer Futrell of Clemmons; a brother, Grover Davis Jr. and his wife, Jean, of Conway; a sister, Ellen Davis Byrd, also of Conway; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 7 in Ashley’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery on Ashley’s Grove Road with the Rev. David Ross presiding.
The family will be receiving friends at Bridgers Funeral Home, Inc. in Conway from 7-8:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 6 and have requested that anyone wishing to share a memorial gift, please do so to Ashley’s Grove Baptist Church, 2152 Ashley’s Grove Road, Conway, NC 27820.
