Lina T. Gatling, 78, of Murfreesboro died Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.
Gatling was a native of Hertford County.
Survivors include a son, Oris C. Gatling of Franklin, VA; four daughters, Rev. Shirley Johnson and Angela Gatling, both of Murfreesboro, Gloria Eure of Gates and Cynthia Stephenson of Durham; two brothers, Lloyd Thomas and Whalon Thomas Jr., both of Murfreesboro; two sisters, Hazel Deloatch and Dennie Futrell, both of Murfreesboro; 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 5 at New Beginnings Baptist Church, Murfreesboro, with the Rev. Shirley Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Gatling Family Cemetery.
Hertford County Undertakers, Winton, are handling the arrangements.
