WINTON — Hertford County citizens will have to wait until June 15 to offer remarks on the county’s 2009-10 local budget.

Due to delays on several fronts, Hertford County Manager Loria Williams on Monday night asked the county’s Board of Commissioners to reschedule the budget public hearing for 7:30 p.m. on Monday, June 15.

“The staff and I need a little more time to get this (budget) finished,” Williams said.

The budget public hearing was scheduled for Monday night’s meeting.

The board agreed to delay it until June 15.
