William Sherman Futrell, 81, died Sunday, May 31, 2009 at the Our Community Hospital, Scotland Neck.
A native of Northampton County, Futrell was a resident of the Guardian Care Nursing Home in Scotland Neck for many years. He lived in Rich Square most of his life, working as a small engine mechanic for a number of years.
Surviving is one sister, Regina Ritter of Orlando, FL.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date to be announced.
