Virginia Marie Brinkley Minch, 78, of Chesapeake, VA, formerly of Ahoskie, died Monday, June 1, 2009 at Chesapeake General Hospital.
A native of Hertford County, she was a member of Atlantic Shores Baptist Church, a Beauty Consultant and a Secretary.
Survivors include a son, Otis Wayne Ricks of Los Angeles, CA; sisters, Celia Ann Morgan of Greenville, Betty Stroud Legette of Williamston and Shirley Umphlett of Eure; and a brother, Sam Brinkley of Ahoskie.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 4 in the Ashley Memorial Chapel of Garrett-Jones Funeral Home, Ahoskie. Burial will follow in the Brinkley Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3 at Garrett-Jones Funeral Home.
